Independent solar data & comparison
Australia’s independent solar data & comparison
Solar rebates, feed-in tariffs, battery incentives and the is-it-worth-it maths — sourced from official data, kept current, and free of installer spin. We’re the one site that holds both electricity pricing data and solar data, so the advice stays honest.
Solar rebate data last verified 20 June 2026.
Rebates & incentives
The calculable-data layer — STC rebates, state incentives and feed-in tariffs, kept current and sourced.
Home batteries
Federal and state battery rebates, and whether a battery actually pays for itself.
Is solar worth it?
The buying decision — built on our feed-in tariff and reference-price data, not generic claims.
The honest comparison
Go solar, or switch plans first?
A cheaper electricity plan can sometimes save you more, sooner, than a solar install. Because we track the regulated reference price against the cheapest plans on our panel, we can show you the switching saving on the table before you commit to solar.

Common questions
- Is EnergyPlans independent?
- Yes. EnergyPlans.com.au is an independent Australian comparison and research platform. We publish sourced solar data — rebates, feed-in tariffs and incentives — and pass your details to a single trusted solar partner only if you ask for quotes.
- Where does your solar data come from?
- Rebate figures come from the Clean Energy Regulator, feed-in tariffs from the AER, ESC, IPART and QCA, and state incentives from each scheme’s own government page. Every figure carries its source and a last-verified date, and anything we haven’t verified yet is shown as pending rather than guessed.
- Do I need to own my home to go solar?
- Owners have the most options, but renters can still explore arrangements with their landlord. Tell us your situation and we’ll tailor the information accordingly.
- Should I go solar or just switch electricity plans?
- Sometimes switching to a cheaper plan saves more, sooner, than a solar install — and sometimes solar is the bigger long-term win. Because we hold both electricity pricing data and solar data, we can help you weigh them honestly rather than assume solar is always the answer.
